About us

No Man can live without food. We must chase hunger in The Gambia and create jobs for people in abdject poverty."
-Keluntang Manneh, Founder
The Challenge we were faced with growing food in Massembeh was the lack of water and the irregular rainfall. So a water well was needed for us to start a farm. To date, we have our solar powered water well installed and functioning. Now, were raising additional funds to properly water the entire farm.
Grow Local, Buy Local, Eat Local.
GROW

Co Founder, Bakary Manneh had a parcel of land (about 5 acres) that was not being utilized. It was once farmed by his father. The borehole was put on his land to start Link of Life Farm.
We aim to make healthy, locally-grown food available to village residents. No-one should have to walk / travel miles to obtain the foods they need for a healthy well-balanced diet. Agriculture is the best weapon against hunger and poverty.
FEED
Create a sustainable local food system.

Without the full irrigation we can only irrigate a small portion of land close to the borehole. We decided to dedicate this small parcel of land to the Womens and Childrens of Massembeh Village. The women and childrens garden at Link of Life Farm is currently blooming. We will continue to provide updates.
